Hello I’m Susan, and with over 30 years in the fitness industry My goal is to motivate and inspire others to become the best that they can be every day through a healthy and fit lifestyle, no matter their age, or their current shape, or their background.  That’s why I opened In Sync Fitness in Walla Walla, Washington,  in 1997, with an emphasis on personalized one-on-one or small group training, combined with nutritional guidance and healthy lifestyle improvements.  I work by appointment only, guaranteeing that you get a plan developed specifically to you and your goals, combining strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, core and spinal alignment, balance training, yoga, and weight management techniques.
I am committed to using the knowledge I acquired through formal education, multiple certification programs, national-level bodybuilding and fitness competitions, and my own practices to help you assess your current health and fitness levels.  Together we will set realistic goals and assist you in reaching those goals in an atmosphere of positive encouragement, positive thinking, and personal accountability. I look forward to assisting you as you achieve your fitness goals.

My Philosophy: I believe that with achievable goals and the proper motivation, we all can be healthier and we can develop a fit lifestyle that carries outside the gym and into our lives.  To meet clients’ individual goals, I design programs that can combine flexibility, mobility resistance training, cardiovascular training, yoga, and healthy/balanced eating habits to help them feel their best every day.  I provide motivation to complement their commitment to themselves by providing positive feedback and encouragement, and because I stay on top of cutting-edge developments in the fitness industry I share the latest research and developments aimed at development of a healthy and fit lifestyle rather than just trends in the industry.   I created In Sync Fitness as an appointment-only facility to ensure that every client gets a personalized, safe, and positive fitness experience they deserve.
My Background:
I have a Bachelor’s in Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Wellness from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse, and am a certified personal fitness trainer through PPSC, the American Council on Exercise (ACE).  I am a Professional Member of IDEA and of the Reebok Alliance for Fitness Professionals. I completed Nutrition Specialist coursework with Dr. Jane Pentz of Tuft’s University and Sports Nutrition Specialist certification through American Council on Exercise.  My deep knowledge of fitness also comes from my own lifelong journey from a collegiate athlete to competitive fitness athlete to mindful yoga practitioner.  I have challenged myself personally through participation and top placement in national-level bodybuilding, figure, and fitness competitions and have an extensive personal yoga and fitness for health practice.
