Its time for a change...........Are you ready? How many of you have the resolution to lose weight? Whether it be the extra 30 pounds you've been carrying around or those 5 you just put on over the holidays there are a few "tricks of the trade" to being successful. JOURNALING: yes, write it down everything, your food, your workouts, your mood, energy, stress level and sleep. This helps you to focus on YOU!! It creates consciousness about the lifestyle you are choosing. COMMITMENT: be consistent and commit to doing something daily. Try a variety of activities. SUPPORT: find a friend, trainer or a class to help you during those rough times. YOU: do it for yourself, not someone else. Make a goal to look and feel better for yourself rather than for others. REALITY: one to two pounds per week is a realistic goal not 5-10. Remember anything worth anything is work and worth the time and effort to achieve it. PLAN: plan your food, find a healthy plan that you can live with for the rest of your life. Be sure to include splurges. If you are too regimented you will feel deprived. MOTIVATE: find something that motivates you to keep on track and keep going!! Reward yourself with a movie, massage, or new workout shoes.
