Chocolate Banana Smoothie and variations......


1 frozen banana

1/2  to 1c unsweetened almond milk

1 tsp Dagoba cacao powder (no sugar contains .5 g fat/3g carbs/1g protein

6 ice cubes

Blend until smooth and creamy

VARIATIONS:

*Add 1tsp all natural unsweetened peanut butter or almond butter

*Add 1/2 tsp cinnamon and use 1/2 cold coffee instead of almond milk

*Add fresh mint leaves

Want to make your smoothie more creamy??  Add 1/4 avocado.  Makes the consistency almost like ice cream and provide four grams healthy monosaturated fat, fiber and added vitamin and minerals!

Adding greens like spinach also up the nutrient factor without changing the flavor.  Add 1 handful baby spinach to a banana smoothie and blend well.

Want to increase the protein with REAL food and  without all those expensive nasty overly sweet powders?  Add a few spoons of cottage cheese.
